In this semester, I continue to work on my Wix website, but I also have to post three journals besides essays. I think journal writing is fun not only to work on but also to read. It’s fun to write them because I get to choose whatever topic I want, and it’s less formal. Reading and commenting on the journals of my classmates are quite interesting, too. It allows me to know more about a few classmates who I am not familiar with. For example, what kind of dramas or movies they have watched or where they have traveled to. Moreover, I think I did not change the design of my Wix that much this semester. I am pretty happy with how my website looks, and although Wix offers many functions, I like to keep things simple. Since it is almost the end of the semester, I am very happy that even after finishing this course, I will still have this amazing website that I personally designed. I can also see my progress in academic writing from the first essay to the last paper.

        The biggest change I’ve made to the website is probably gif files, which are images that can move. I just think they are pretty fun, and I don’t see anyone else using them, either. So I added gifs to two of my journals. Hopefully, this somehow makes my Wix stand out from others. I also added a Youtube link to an essay. I did this simply because I really like the Youtuber who made that video, and it happened to be very relevant to my essay topic. It’s like killing two birds with one stone: promoting my favorite Youtuber and doing an assignment at the same time. Building this website was a really cool experience, and it was all thanks to Professor Sherry!
